Stop 3: The Birds & The Bees at Sea Cider
Pollination is critical for growing apples! This mason bee "condo" provides shelter for native bee species that pollinate Sea Cider's trees and flowers. These bees are naturally suited to our climate and are even better pollinators than honey bees. While, unfortunately, they don't produce honey, they also do not sting!
Did you know ...
Sea Cider produces a cider called Birds & The Bees. This cider is part of our Canadian Invasion Series of ciders, which highlights the dangers that invasive plant species pose for farms and natural areas. Sales of ciders from the Canadian Invasion Series allow us to support the work of local non-profits involved in environmental remediation and the protection of wilderness areas.
