Community Apples

Calling all local growers, backyard farmers & apple foragers!

We invite you to help divert food waste by bringing your apples to Sea Cider for the 2026 harvest season.

Sea Cider welcomes apple deliveries from local growers if they’re grown with care. As many folks know, our Kings & Spies cider is the delicious result of our crowd-sourced fruit program and a tribute to the apple heritage of our region, made from local apples foraged from apple trees and heritage orchards all over Victoria. Whether you have only one lonely apple tree or many, your apples may be suitable for our ciders.

  • Apple drop off begins Monday, September 14, 2026
  • Drop offs days will be Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm — no drop off on weekends
  • We will continue to accept apples until we reach our capacity of 30,000 lbs

A few conditions…

Although we can use ugly apples to make cider, we do require a certain level of quality to accept the fruit. Any fruit with rot, unhealed wounds or significant bruising will not be accepted. If you are a certified organic grower, we’ll need a current copy of your certificate. If you are not a certified organic grower but grow your apples without the use of chemicals, we would still love to hear from you.

Apple growers will receive payment in gift card, issued at the time of apple drop off. For large orders over 1000 lbs, please email production@seacider.ca to arrange drop-off.

Sadly, we do not have the person-power to pick your apples or collect apples from your farm.

Please email production@seacider.ca with any questions.
