Stop 10: Land Stewardship
At Sea Cider, we’re committed to sustainability and being stewards of this beautiful land so it can be enjoyed for generations to come. We are certified by Ecocert Canada, ensuring that we follow organic farming practices. Our approach emphasizes prevention — protecting our trees from disease by keeping our soil healthy with compost, mulch, and water conservation to prevent nutrient loss. We minimize pesticide use, instead relying on preventative measures to manage insect pests and diseases while supporting the health of our ecosystem.

We have created our Canadian Invasion Series of ciders to raise awareness about invasive and non-native plant species on Vancouver Island. Profits from these ciders support organizations that protect natural habitats, promote native plant species, and advance environmental education.
Did you know ...
This land has a rich history. It was once a loganberry farm, supplying berries to BC’s first commercial winery, while more recently, it was a sheep farm. Keep an eye out, you might still see sheep grazing on our neighbour’s property to the east!
