Stop 1: Our Story

 

Welcome! Sea Cider was founded by Kristen Needham, whose love of apples and passion for the environment began in her family’s orchard on Shuswap Lake, BC. In 2004, Sea Cider was launched with the purchase of this Mount St. Michael Road farm, as a way to bring together environmental sustainability, community, and cider. 

From the beginning, our mission has been is to create exceptional cider experiences as a community-minded, conscientious land steward. Thank you for being part of our journey!

Did you know ...

Large granite boulders like this one were deposited more than 10,000 years ago during the last ice age. Called "erratics," they are a sign of well-drained soil created by glaciation that has become ideal for growing apple trees.
