Ohh, October! Our favourite month of the year!

Celebrate the harvest and sample Sea Cider at a number of markets, in-store tastings & special events this month. You’ll find Sea Cider at the following events:


Cider Sampling & Sales: Farmers Market at the Victoria Public Market – Wednesdays in October, 11:00am-3:00pm

The Victoria Public Market at the Hudson is very excited to offer a year-round, local Downtown Farmers’ Market! Highlighting the island’s best farms, freshest food, talented and innovative artisans, and shining musicians in an emerging and friendly community. Sea Cider will be there with samples and bottles sales of Wild English, Pippins, Kings & Spies, Witch’s Broom, Bramble Bubbly, & Rumrunner. We will be offering our market special – 2 bottles for $30 including taxes & deposit!

Tasting Event: Sidney Fine Art Show  –  October 17th, 6:00pm-9:00pm
The 2014 Sidney Fine Art Show will be held October 17th – 19th at the Bodine Family Hall at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney. Presented by the Community Arts Council of the Saanich Peninsula, this Show is a world-class juried art show for serious artists and patrons of the arts. The first Show in 2003 was an outstanding success and each year the Show has attracted thousands of visitors to the town of Sidney. We will be there sampling our ciders along with a number of Peninsula wineries.

Cider Masters Class: Cascadia Colwood Presents Seacider Masterclass – October 23rd, 7:00pm-8:00pm 
This one hour session will be presented by Seacider owner and cider maker Kristen Jordan. Come and learn about making cider and taste some fantastic ciders from our own backyard! Tickets are $5 and available at Cascadia Colwood (all proceeds donated to Opportunity International). Limited space available, please register in advance.

Tasting & Pairing Event: Gold Medal Plates – October 30th, 4:00pm-10:00pm
Gold Medal Plates is the ultimate celebration of Canadian Excellence in cuisine, wine, the arts and athletic achievement. Celebrated in eleven cities across Canada in 2014, Gold Medal Plates features the premier chefs in each city in a competition to crown a gold, silver and bronze medal culinary team in each city, and subsequently nation-wide at the Canadian Culinary Championships.
